 Tokyo Ghoul creator Sui Ishida announces a new manga series titled "Chо̄jin X"









The side Twitter of Tokyo Ghoul creator Sui Ishida has announced on Monday a new manga series under the title of "Chо̄jin X". He also shared a sample frame from his storyboard depicting an 'assumed' male protagonist and a 'superhuman' form. The creator also stated in his post that he dreamt of Kaneki and Touka after falling asleep while finishing his work.

No other details were revealed regarding the new manga.
Ishida is best known for his dark fantasy series Tokyo Ghoul which was serialized from 2011 to 2014 in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine and was later adapted into a light novel and anime series in 2014.

A TV anime adaptation of the series by studio Pierrot which ran for 12 episodes was aired between July and September 2014 in Japan. A second season, Tokyo Ghoul √A, which follows an original story, aired from January to March 2015 with another 12 episodes.

A live-action film based on the manga was released in Japan in July 2017. An anime adaptation based on the sequel manga, Tokyo Ghoul:re, aired for two seasons; the first from April to June 2018, and the second from October to December 2018.
